Our infant area provides the highest quality care in an environment that is designed with the parent and child in mind. While in our care, the children are stimulated through music, exercise, outdoor blanket time, facial and verbal mimicking as well as lots of hugs and tickles.

Faith-Based Values

The Christian message of God’s grace, love, and forgiveness is the foundation of all learning at Faith Preschool Academy. The Infant program at FPA encourages children to grow in all developmental areas while experiencing God’s love. On a daily basis there is a Bible lesson, carried out through music & movement, language development, motor skills activities, creative arts, social/emotional development, sensory exploration, and outdoor play.

Safe, Secure & Nurturing Environment

An infant’s capacity to learn is present from birth. Infants learn about their world primarily through social contact- the experiences they have with those who take care of them beginning at birth. Every infant is an individual with a unique temperament and a set of developing skills and abilities. Although the rate and pattern of development vary from child to child, all infants progress through similar stages of development.

Our infant program is sequenced of normal infant development in the areas of motor skills, language and communication, cognition, and socialization. Teachers play with the children, talk to them, respond to them and provide a consistency that makes the child’s environment more predictable and comfortable. Experiencing varied textures, foods, shapes, and sounds, as well as going for outdoor strolls help to stimulate your child.

Each infant has their own crib and the linen is changed daily. When the child is not asleep or eating, he/she is free to move about the room, explore and interact with others. The children are held, rocked, talked and sang to, and as appropriate, taught basic concepts of language.

We adhere to daily schedules parents provide for eating, sleeping and other routines as much as possible, keeping in mind that infants will to some extent adjust those schedules based on their own needs. We provide written entries throughout the day, providing detailed information about food consumption, sleep, disposition and activity level and any special experiences or extraordinary achievements they make such as first word or first step.

Quality Child Care Begins with Quality Programming

Pinnacle Early Childhood Curriculumâ„¢ is designed to engage children in developmentally appropriate activities that move them toward their potential. Pinnacle Curriculum for infants provides activities that stimulate growth and development that can be incorporated into the routines of the day. Encouraging an atmosphere of caring, love, and hugs, Pinnacle Curriculum provides teachers with fun activities to do with little ones all day – even during the “Radical Routines” of eating and changing! Infant guides follow a weekly format, allowing teachers to choose several activities per day for each child. Lesson plans are designed for personalization, making it easy to craft the curriculum to meet each child’s specific needs.
